Catholic Health Initiatives- Nebraska
This website contains listings of the all clinical trials currently open at the three Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) cancer centers in Nebraska, as well as the Nebraska Cancer Research Center.
Clinical Trials offer cancer patients promising, new treatments that lead to better ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer.
Today, the three CHI-Nebraska cancer centers (Saint Elizabeth Cancer Institute in Lincoln, Saint Francis Cancer Treatment Center in Grand Island and Good Samaritan Cancer Center in Kearney) are offering patients access to national clinical trials in collaboration with the National Cancer Institute Community Cancer Centers Program (NCCCP). Our affiliation with the National Cancer Institute means that your patients will receive the best cancer care close to home.
In addition, we work closely with UNMC Eppley Cancer Institute, industry trials and numerous cooperative groups throughout the region, including the Nebraska Cancer Research Center. They are an important resource to cancer patients in Lincoln and throughout Nebraska and a research leader among Community Clinical Oncology Programs (CCOPs).
We welcome eligible patients into any of our research trials. Our research staff will closely monitor the clinical treatments with your staff, and they will be a resource to you and your patients.
Our team can offer your patients the option to enroll in national research studies, many of which offer new, more targeted treatments before they become standard protocol. Every day, we strive to offer the highest quality care, because we know the work we are doing is benefiting patients world-wide. After all, today’s clinical trial is tomorrow’s best care.
